Simone Corsi will take on the role of Sporting Director at the Klint Forward Factory Team starting in 2025. The 37-year-old veteran, a former 125cc race winner and seasoned Moto2 competitor, took his final laps as a wildcard in the 2024 Moto2 finale at Catalunya, finishing 26th. Speaking about his new position in the team, Corsi said:

“I am happy that my journey with Forward continues on a new role. I want to contribute my experience, support the team, and contribute to its further development in this exciting challenge. I believe that together we can achieve important goals.”

The Italian’s responsibilities as Sporting Director extend beyond the management role. He will continue to provide technical feedback on Forward’s custom-built Moto2 machine. During a post-season test at Jerez, he revealed:

“I am involved in two areas. My new role as Sporting Director is a fresh challenge, and I hope to help the team with my experience in the paddock. At the same time, I’m still supporting the project as a test rider.”

“We’ve been comparing three chassis versions to find the best setup for 2025. The 2024 bike had issues with rear grip, but I’m confident we can make progress.”

A change on the management side isn’t the only switch-up for the team ahead of the 2025 season. Forward Racing had initially announced that Alex Escrig and Xavier Artigas would continue as its riders in 2025.

However, a late shake-up has seen Jorge Navarro replace Artigas. Navarro’s return to Moto2 as a full-time rider comes after several strong performances in the American Racing Team, including a pole position and a podium finish at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
