MotoGP World Champion Pecco Bagnaia tops Practice Friday at the Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Having come from a tough ending the morning session, the Italian blitzes the rest of the field and led Marco Bezzecchi and Aleix Espargaro into the Top 3 with Johann Zarco being the only rider on a Japanese bike directly qualified for Q2.

The Frenchman had set an incredible lap time early on having gotten the chance to follow the Marquez brothers around the track for a lap giving quite a decent tow.

Championship leader Jorge Martin was on course for a Top 3 time in the later stages of the session before first having to abort his fast lap in Turn 5 due to a slipping front tyre and later encountering yellow flags on his final run.

Joan Mir had crashed with not much time to go, causing lots of fast laps being scrapped. Main victim was Brad Binder who had finished the session 11th but ultimately was thrown back to 17th after his fastest lap was deleted later on.
