MotoGP has unveiled plans for its first-ever season launch event. Scheduled for February 9th in Bangkok, Thailand, the event will take place at the One Bangkok venue, three days before the final preseason test at the Buriram International Circuit.
The launch will not serve as an all-in-one team unveiling, most 2025 liveries are expected to be revealed beforehand. Instead, the focus will shift to gathering the MotoGP grid in one place, allowing fans worldwide to see the riders and their machines ahead of the season.
Admission is free for fans. The event will be broadcast worldwide via a free live stream on MotoGP’s social media channels. According to MotoGP.com, it’s an opportunity for fans to “see the grid all together before another awesome season begins.”
The program will kick off in the afternoon with a DJ performance at 3:30 PM local time. Riders will participate in a “Hero Walk,” followed by on-stage interviews and presentations of the 2025 liveries.
Afterward, fans will be able to get autographs and take photos with their favorite rider, with MotoGP bikes being showcased and even ridden around Bangkok throughout the day. The day will end with a live music show at 6:45 PM, featuring a yet-to-be-announced local artist.
For Thailand’s Somkiat Chantra, who begins his MotoGP rookie season, the event promises to be an especially thrilling homecoming, giving local fans a chance to rally behind their star. Afterward, riders will head to a private rooftop gathering at 8:30 PM, wrapping up the day’s celebrations.
