2025 Moto3 rookie Maximo Quiles has begun his transition to Grand Prix racing during a private test with the Aspar Racing Team at Jerez. The 16-year-old Spaniard is gearing up for his full-time debut in 2025, following an impressive run in the 2024 JuniorGP season and the Red Bull Rookies Cup.
Wrapping up his JuniorGP commitments in strong form, finishing the season in third place behind fellow Moto3 newcomers Alvaro Carpe and Guido Pini while also securing fifth in the Rookies Cup, the focus now shifts to the next stage of his career: The Moto3 World Championship.
The test at Jerez provided Quiles with a first opportunity to familiarize himself with the KTM machine. Sharing the track with his future teammate, Dennis Foggia, he completed an extensive 126 laps over the course of two days of testing.
While Quiles’ 1:44.959 was 0.813 seconds off his new teammate’s pace, the Spaniard reflected positively on his experience and the progress he made over the sessions.

“It has been a super positive test,” he said. “I have learned a lot with the CFMoto, which is a new bike for me.” Foggia, returning to Moto3 after a two-year stint in Moto2, posted a best lap time of 1:44.146.
“I am very happy with the team; they work very well and we have improved a lot. I feel comfortable with the bike, although I still lack a bit of confidence,” Quiles admitted. “We have made a decent time with a tyre that was not the best for us. I feel that the adaptation is going well, and I am just looking forward to getting started.”
