Jake Dixon to Join Marc VDS in Moto2 for 2025
Moto2 rider Jake Dixon will join Marc VDS for the 2025 Moto2 season. The Brit is set to be replaced by Moto3 mega talent David Alonso.
Jake Dixon will join Marc VDS Racing Team for the 2025 season. The British rider, who is currently having a strong run in the Moto2 World Championship and recently stood on the podium in Spielberg, has been with the Aspar Team since 2022.
During his tenure with Aspar, Dixon secured three Moto2 victories, with his latest win coming at his home Grand Prix in Silverstone earlier this August.
Notably, Dixon faced various issues this season, only earning his first World Championship points at the sixth race. Following his third-place finish at the Red Bull Ring, he currently sits 7th in the standings with 94 points.
Dixon has now publicly addressed his upcoming transition, which will also involve a change in chassis manufacturers. Starting in 2025, the Marc VDS team will switch from Kalex to Boscoscuro.
“First of all, I want to extend a huge thanks to Marc for giving me the chance to ride for such a fantastic team,” Dixon said.
“Marc VDS has been at the forefront of the Moto2 class for a long time and has won three world championships. It’s a real pleasure to be joining this team next year.”
