Francesco Bagnaia & Marc Marquez have unveiled Ducati Lenovo’s new 2025 MotoGP livery at Ducati’s “Campioni in Pista” season launch.
MotoGP champion Ducati has unveiled its 2025 livery in a launch event at Madonna di Campiglio, featuring a first appearance of Marc Marquez in factory Ducati colours.
“We have two champions, the best riders on the grid in my opinion,” said Gigi Dall’Igna at today’s launch.
Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali acknowledged: “The choice of Marquez is divisive. Much more so in Italy due to his way of riding and what happened in the past [with Valentino Rossi]. But no one questions his talent.”
Remaining with title sponsorship from Lenovo, the 2025 version of Ducati’s traditional red contains only minor tweaks from the previous year.
As for the 2025 machine – whose predecessor won 19 of the 20 GP races – he said: “The objective we have this year is not to have a completely new bike, it’s to better the bike we had. The base is already very sound, very good.”
Ducati’s item list for the upcoming tests contains “a new swingarm, a new chassis, a completely new fairing and also other elements that have been adapted and retouched”.
Dall’Igna continued: “We will be really strict in the selection of materials that really work, that will make the difference – and maybe we’ll leave the other elements that we have some doubts on to the side, and maybe we’ll try them during the season.”
“There are so many things to evaluate, to assess, and also on the basis of our competitors and what they will do.”
“I like to take risks. I always have. But you have to be smart. You have to risk when it’s the right moment to.”

A two-year development freeze before the start of the 850cc era starts in 2027 also means it will be crucial to select the optimum engine design.
Marquez will make his track debut in full Ducati livery, alongside Bagnaia, at the Official Sepang test from February 5-7. The Buriram test will be held on February 12-13. Find all MotoGP test dates here.
