As the 2026 MotoGP season draws closer, the grid is locked in a race against time. While the first official tests of the year loom on the horizon, several riders are still battling the lingering effects of 2025 injuries – joined by others who suffered setbacks during a grueling winter break.

Here are the latest injury updates for MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3:

MotoGP

Marc Marquez – After being caught in a collision with Marco Bezzecchi at the Indonesian Grand Prix in Mandalika, reigning World Champion Marc Marquez sustained a fracture at the base of the coracoid process and ligament damage in his right shoulder.

Medical evaluations confirmed the sustained injuries were entirely independent of his previous right arm and shoulder surgeries.

After an attempt at conservative treatment turned out to be unsuccessful, Marquez underwent surgery in Madrid to stabilize the area.

Having missed the conclusion of the 2025 season, the Spaniard is focused on a return for the 2026 Sepang test and has already made a return to the bike for some motocross training throughout the winter break.

Fermin Aldeguer – Following an accident during off-season training at Valencia, Fermin Aldeguer has undergone surgery on a fractured left femur.

The injury is a significant setback for the Spaniard just weeks before his second season in MotoGP is scheduled to begin.

Aldeguer’s participation in the upcoming pre-season tests in Malaysia is under serious threat.

Moto2

Ayumu Sasaki – Following his crash in FP1 at the Valencia Grand Prix, the Japanese has been declared unfit due to a broken ankle.

Adrian Huertas – The Spaniard has fractured both radii in an FP1 crash at the Valencian Grand Prix.

Moto3

David Munoz – The Intact GP rider has suffered a broken femur in his brutal crash with Adrian Fernandez at the Indonesian Grand Prix.
