The KTM factory MotoGP team and its Tech3 satellite squad have unveiled a unified livery both teams will use in 2025.
While KTM remains committed to the 2025 and 2026 season, it’s future beyond that remains uncertain as mother company KTM AG hit a financial crisis in late-2024.
Despite possibly being short on money, the Austrian manufacturer will field four factory RC16s in 2025 at its factory team and the Tech3 satellite squad.
KTM fields arguably its strongest four-man line-up ever, with two-time World Champion and 2024 rookie sensation Pedro Acosta stepping up to the factory squad alongside double MotoGP race winner and Moto2 World Champion Brad Binder.
At Tech3, Maverick Vinales moves over from Aprilia, while Enea Bastianini comes from Ducati – both with 17 victories and a lot of knowledge from KTM’s biggest rivals between them.
The livery both teams will race in 2025 is virtually identical, as Tech3 moves away from last year’s red GASGAS branding.
While both teams will run Red Bull KTM colours, the Tech3 bikes feature Motul branding on the bottom of the fairing, while the factory squad has Mobil 1 as one of its sponsors.
Despite a difficult season in which it went winless for a third year in a row, KTM finished the 2024 campaign second in the constructors’ standings and is looking optimistic ahead of the new season.
2025 will also see former KTM junior team boss Aki Ajo step up to become team manager at KTM’s factory squad, replacing Francesco Guidotti.
Seven of the 11 MotoGP teams have now unveiled their 2025 liveries. You can find all team presentation dates here.
