Fabio Quartararo will start the Dutch Grand Prix from pole after delivering in a tightly contested qualifying session at Assen.
The Yamaha rider pipped Francesco Bagnaia by just 0.028 seconds in a last-lap shootout, securing his fourth pole of the season and the 20th of his career.
Quartararo hit the top with a 1m30.651s on his sixth lap, a time that would remain unbeaten through the final rush.
Bagnaia, having held provisional pole earlier in the session, slotted into second with a 1m30.679s, narrowly missing out on his first pole position of 2025.
Alex Marquez completed the front row with a 1m30.811s, having briefly led the session after becoming the first rider to dip into the 1m30s bracket.
His brother Marc looked to be in the mix for pole as well but lost time being all out of shape in the final chicane on his fastest lap of the session before going wide and ruining his final time attack.

Franco Morbidelli claimed sixth, followed closely by rookie Fermin Aldeguer in seventh.

Behind them, Di Giannantonio, Acosta and Viñales filled out the fourth row, all within eight tenths of pole.
Raul Fernandez was 11th, while Johann Zarco – despite getting a pretty sizeable tow from Bagnaia on his fastest lap – could only manage 12th.
Earlier, Q1 had seen a brief flashpoint when Alex Rins was visibly furious after being held up by Enea Bastianini, likely resulting in a post-session penalty for the Italian.
