Pecco Bagnaia comes out on top in a very tactical Sildarity GP qualifying. Having realized he needs as many bikes as possible between him and title rival Jorge Martin, Bagnaia set out with one goal in mind: Tow as many riders around to fast laps as possible.

Taking Marc Marquez and Franco Morbidelli with him on his final run, the Italian went fastest and took pole position. Marquez finished 3rd, Morbidelli 5th.

Aleix Espargaro followed Pecco Bagnaia onto the front row in his final run of qualifying in MotoGP after first pulling his good friend Jorge Martin along in the early stages of the session.

Being eventually free to set a fast lap for himself, the retiring Aprilia rider beat Marc Marquez for 2nd on the grid.

Biggest disappointment in qualifying were the factory KTMs who once again weren’t able to solve the team’s one-lap pace issues. The team will start 18th and 19th on the grid as rookie Acosta was the only Pierer rider to make it into the Top 17. The Spaniard will start 6th.
