Official! Toprak Razgatlioglu to Join Pramac Yamaha for 2026 MotoGP

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu will join Prima Pramac Yamaha for his MotoGP debut in 2026, bringing two WorldSBK titles and Yamaha’s faith in his potential for a standout rookie season.

The Toprak MotoGP saga finally comes to an end! The Turk will make his premier class debut in 2026 with the Prima Pramac team, Yamaha has officially confirmed.

The two-time World Superbike champion will return to Yamaha after a standout run with BMW, where he secured the brand’s first-ever WorldSBK title in 2024.

Razgatlıoğlu’s first WorldSBK crown came with Yamaha in 2021, marking him as the most successful Yamaha rider in Superbike history with 63 wins.

By the time he steps into MotoGP next season, Razgatlıoğlu will be 29 years old, ready to take on a long-awaited challenge in the premier class.

Paolo Pavesio, Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director, who worked closely with Toprak during his early WorldSBK years, welcomed the Turkish star back.

“Toprak has proven to be an exceptional talent, securing two WorldSBK titles, which is no small achievement. His move to MotoGP is both a homecoming and an exciting challenge.”

“We’ve planned this as a step of progressive growth, and his fighting spirit aligns perfectly with both Prima Pramac Yamaha and Yamaha’s MotoGP strategy.”

This announcement ends weeks of speculation and mixed signals. Just last week, Pramac Racing boss Gino Borsoi had insisted no contract was signed, while Toprak’s manager Kenan Sofuoglu hinted at a deal in place.

Pramac Yamaha Responds to Toprak Razgatlioglu MotoGP Rumours

Pramac boss Gino Borsoi addresses growing rumours of a MotoGP move for Toprak Razgatlioglu in 2026, clarifying Yamaha's talks and uncertainty over Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira.

Now, with Yamaha’s official confirmation, it’s clear the Turkish star’s MotoGP future is set.

Razgatlıoğlu’s arrival inevitably shakes up the Pramac Yamaha lineup. The team currently fields Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira, with Miller’s contract expiring at the end of 2025.

Despite a difficult race at Aragon, Miller has been the stronger performer this year, making him the likeliest rider to make way for the Turkish champion’s MotoGP entry.

Oliveira, meanwhile, remains under contract through 2026 but has faced challenges recovering from injury and finding form this season.

Rumors suggest the Portuguese has a performance clause in his two-year contract which could force him to leave Yamaha should his form not significantly increase over the coming weeks.
