MotoGP championship leader Marc Marquez takes his third sprint win of 2025 after fighting off a big Bagnaia attack in the early stages of the race.
Bagnaia starting from P6 got a lightning start moving up to 2nd in turn 1 before lunging on the inside of his teammate and briefly taking the lead in the second corner.
Despite his “best start to a race this year” though, the Italian was unable to keep up the pace he had on the opening lap.
Following a squabble with Alex Marquez, both Spaniards slipped back through and quickly established a 1.5s lead.
Ramping up the pace in the later stages of the sprint, Bagnaia was unable to close back in and had to settle for P3.
Fabio di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli locked out the top 5 for Ducati after a heated battke with Yamaha surprise Fabio Quartararo.
Having launched from 11th on the grid, the Frenchman quickly found himself in the fight for P4 but was ultimately not able to match the Ducati pace. Quartararo finished a second off Morbidelli in P6.
Pedro Acostra led the charge for KTM inheriting P7 from Joan Mir. The Honda rider crashed out of the race hunting down the VR46 duo in front.
Mir teammate Marini put in his best Honda result and finished P8 ahead of the last points scorer Ai Ogura.
