A week after missing out on pole position at his home Grand Prix, Aussie rider Joel Kelso takes his maiden Grand Prix pole at Buriram. He leads Collin Veijer and Angel Piqueras onto the front row.

With only seconds remaining, a large portion of the Q2 contenders started track position shenanigans eventually leading to big names missing out on a final fast lap.

Taiyo Furusato and World Champion David Alonso complete the Top 5 with Scott Ogden, one of the few to make it across the line for one last time-attack attempt finishing 6th.

Dani Holgado will start 7th, giving himsel some work to do for tomorrow’s race if he want to keep his 23-point lead over Collin Veijer into the fight for 2nd in the championship.
