After a mixed debut season in Moto3, Joel Esteban will return to Junior GP in 2025. The Spaniard will continue within the Aspar structure.
Joel Esteban is set to make a determined bid for the JuniorGP title in 2025, rejoining the Aspar Team Junior after a challenging debut season in the Moto3 World Championship.
The Catalan rider aims to “consistently fight for podiums and victories”, with the ultimate goal of claiming the junior title.
Esteban, who spent 2024 competing in Moto3 with the CFMoto Aspar Team, finished the season in 17th place.
Despite a few early flashes of promise, including a standout fourth-place finish at the French Grand Prix in May, the Spaniard struggled to maintain consistent form and never really got to grips with Moto3.
By stepping back to JuniorGP, he hopes to recapture the momentum that saw him excel in the series in 2023.

The decision to step back down to JuniorGP is certainly an unusual one, but it might also be well calculated.
Staying within the Aspar framework, the Spaniard’s door back to Grand Prix racing is still wide open and could see him return to full-time Moto3 racing as early as 2026 should either Moto3 returnee Dennis Foggia or Moto3 rookie Maximo Quiles not perform.
