Jack Miller Jobless in 2025 Shakeup - In Talks with MotoGP Manufacturer
Following KTM’s 2025 rider announcements, Jack Miller is currently without a seat for 2025. The Aussie reveals he’s already in talks with another manufacturer.
After KTM’s rider announcement frenzy over the course of the past few weeks, Jack Miller remains without a seat for 2025.
The popular Australian will neither be part of KTM’s factory duo nor the then-rebranded Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad.
KTM team manager Francesco Guidotti initially said “we would like for him to stay in the project” with a seat in the Tech3 team.
Following confirmation at the Italian Grand Prix that he’ll be replaced by super-rookie Pedro Acosta, Miller describes himself as a “jobseeker”.
“I’m on Jobseekers at the minute,” Miller said even before Tech3’s confirmation to sign Vinales and Bastianini into the team. The Aussie takes the bad news in stride:
“It is what it is. Logical choice from KTM. I am disappointed that my time in the factory team will come to an end but [Acosta] is a huge talent and we haven’t shown what we needed to show.”
“We’ll try to get some better results on the board. Not that I haven’t been trying already, but we’ll try in the next couple of GPs.”
However, with the Japanese manufacturers looking for any insight into Ducati’s and KTM’s projects they can get, Miller’s chances for a spot on the 2025 grid are pretty good.
Honda is rumored to be an alternative option for the Aussie. Miller admitted he may have accepted the Tech3 KTM seat before the bikes were handed to Vinales and Bastianini instead.
“Obviously we are in chats with a few manufacturers. I still feel like I’ve got a lot more to give here and a lot more to show. We’ll try to regroup. Come up with something. And hopefully, stick around for a bit more.”
