MotoGP championship leader Marc Marquez wins the Argentina Grand Prix ahead of his brother Alex Marquez and equals MotoGP legend Angel Nieto in Grand Prix race wins.

The factory Ducati rider took the lead from the start but had to battle his brother after letting him slip through in Lap 6 of the race.

Revealing after the race he would have been satisfied with a P2 finish since the feeling with the bike “wasn’t great” in the beginning, the Spaniard gained back confidence in the last lap of the race.

Taking back the lead with six laps to go, M. Marquez built a comfortable gao to his brother behind by the time the two crossed the finish line.

Franco Morbidelli completed the podium having chosen the soft rear tyre. The Italian is back on the podium for the first time in four years after fending off a late charge from Pecco Bagnaia.

Fabio di Giannantonio completed a Ducati 1-2-3-4-5 after a last-lap overtake on Johann Zarco who finished the race a Honda-best 6th. It’s Honda’s first top 6 finish in MotoGP since the Thai Grand Prix in 2023.

Brad Binder led the charge for KTM fending off Trackhouse Racing rookie Ai Ogura and teammate Pedro Acosta.

Ogura was promoted to Aprilia frontrunner early on in the race when Marco Bezzecchi locked the front into Turn 1 on Lap 1 and crashed into the back of Fabio Quartararo.

The Frenchman finished a distant 15th, having not been able to start a comeback after the Turn 1 incident.
