With title rivals Fermin Aldeguer & Sergio Garcia (8th & 9th) struggling on Saturda, Championship leader Ai Ogura is set for a final charge to take the Moto2 title at Buriram.

The Japanese will start the Thai GP race from pole position as weekend dominator Aron Canet misses out on P1 on the grid due to a last-turn mistake on his final lap of the session.

Moto2 rookie Diogo Moreira completes the front row. Tony Arbolino finishes qualifying 4th but will be relegated down to 7th due to a three-place grid penalty.

Arbolino’s Czech teammate Filip Salac will start 5th right behind Americna Racing rider Marcos Ramirez.

Local hero Somkiat Chantra, despite still suffering from his foot injury, put in a heroic performance to make it out of Q1. The Thai will start 13th on the grid.
