Marco Bezzecchi ended Friday on top at Mandalika, setting a blistering 1m29.240. The Aprilia rider looked in complete control of the field, topping the first day of running at the Indonesian Grand Prix by more than four tenths.
Gresini’s Fermin Aldeguer was closest in second, 0.408s adrift, while KTM’s Pedro Acosta slotted into third just 0.016s further back, having led the session multiple times before Bezzecchi had the upper hand on the final time attack.
Honda’s Luca Marini continued his strong run of form from Friday morning to take fourth, edging Trackhouse Aprilia’s Raul Fernandez by just 0.003s.
Joan Mir made it a factory Honda 4-6 after an earlier ride-height issue forced him to take on the rest of Practice on the spare bike.

Yamaha placed both factory riders directly into Q2, Fabio Quartararo seventh ahead of Alex Rins, with Miguel Oliveira making it three M1s in the top ten in ninth.
Alex Marquez, despite a crash in the second half of Practice, rounded out the top ten, barely holding on to a direct Q2 entry.
Freshly crowned World Champion Marc Marquez had a scrappy session with two crashes, the latter one being quite big, and could do no better than 11th. He will be in Q1 on Saturday morning for the first time this season.

His factory Ducati team-mate Pecco Bagnaia fared even worse, only 17th, his return to form in Motegi turning more and more into a fluke.
Both VR46 Ducatis missing out on a direct spot in Q2 as well, with Franco Morbidelli 12th and Fabio Di Giannantonio 18th, completed the absolutely horrid first day of running for Ducati.
With track temperatures a scorching 55°C, the session turned into a crash fest from the get-go, with Johann Zarco joining Marc Marquez in the ‘Two crashes in Practice’ club.
Somkiat Chantra, Enea Bastianini, and Alex Marquez suffered falls as well.
