The MotoGP title fight between Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin will go to the season finale. The Italian makes it double-digit race wins in 2024.
Race Sunday was off to bad start when after the initial start, Jack Miller, Brad Binder and Fabio Quartararo were caught up in a big Turn 2 pile-up bringing out the red flags.
When the lights went out for the second time, a feisty battle between Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martib broke loose. Having secured the holeshot, Bagnaia saw himself the victim of several attacks from his title rival. The lead swapped several times in the first four laps with Bagnaia eventually getting the better of Jorge Martin.
Once in the lead, there was no stopping the factory Ducati rider. Quickly, he grew his lead, in the end, taking his 10th race win of the season by more than three seconds. Jorge Martin and Enea Bastianini completed the podium.
Marc Marquez had matched the pace of the two front runners in the early stages of the race but soon went over the limit into Turn 15, losing the front. The Spaniard wuickly rejoined the race and moved back up the order to finish 13th. His brother Alex and Pedro Acosta rounded out the Top 5.
