Ivan Ortola secures his sixth pole position in 2024, leading Collin Veijer by just 0.124 seconds. The Spaniard will look to convert his strong start into a race win on Sunday.

Leopard rider Adrian Fernandez completed the front row, just 0.151 seconds off the lead and marginally quicker than David Munoz. Despite showing early promise for a charge at pole position, the BOE Motorsports rider had to settle for fourth.

British rider Scott Ogden achieved a career-best performance, qualifying fifth. Joel Kelso briefly ignited the Aussie crowd, taking provisional pole with three minutes left, but ultimately wasn’t able to match the one-lap pace of the top runners and dropped to seventh.

The session wasn’t without its share of drama. Matteo Bertelle and Luca Lunetta both crashed, with Bertelle going down at Turn 1 and Lunetta highsiding at Turn 6. Both riders escaped serious injury.

Reigning World Champion David Alonso struggled throughout the session, managing only P10. It’s only the Spaniard’s second time this season he hasn’t qualified on the front three rows.
