Ahead of MotoGP’s second consecutive race weekend at Misano, Tech3 Racing has completed its 2025 Moto3 rider line-up. Following Jacob Roulstone re-signing earlier this summer, the team will promote Red Bull Rookies rising star Valentin Perrone to Moto3.
This move comes as a reward for his impressive performances in the Red Bull Rookies Cup and the European Talent Cup. Perrone, whose family has Spanish roots, has risen through the ranks of Spain’s junior racing series.

Following wins in Mugello and Misano and climbing to third in the final standings of the Red Bull Rookies Cup, Perrone has signed a two-year contract with Tech3. Commenting on the deal, the Argentinian expressed his excitement:
“Joining the Moto3 World Championship is a dream come true, and I’m really happy to be part of the Red Bull KTM Tech3 team for the next two seasons. I want to thank Hervé Poncharal for his trust in me, and my team for helping me reach this goal. 2025 will be a learning year, but I’m excited for this new journey.”
Tech3 boss and paddock veteran Hervé Poncharal praised the youngsters development: “We are proud to announce Valentin’s signing, which completes our Moto3 team for 2025.”
“I have been closely watching him throughout the year and have been impressed by his level and the progress he’s made, competing with top riders in every race. Together with Jacob, they will form a young and dynamic Australian-Argentinian duo, and I am confident they will push each other to improve.”
In addition to Perrone’s arrival, Tech3 is undergoing yet another strategic shift as the Moto3 team, aligning with its MotoGP counterpart, will return to its original partnership with KTM, bringing back the signature orange livery.
Poncharal explained the decision: “At the same time, we’re also announcing our return to orange, as our Moto3 team will once again race under the Red Bull KTM Tech3 banner, matching our 2025 MotoGP project.”
“Our close relationships with both KTM and Red Bull make us the ideal platform to nurture the next generation of top riders.”
KTM’s strategy is consistent across the board. While the Austrians’ number of teams supporting young talent in Moto3 remains unchanged, GASGAS, following Husqvarna, will exit the paddock. All of Pierer Mobility Group’s road racing efforts will now be consolidated under the KTM brand.
