Brad Binder Manager Clarifies 2025 KTM Contract Situation
Following speculation about Brad Binder’s 2025 contract situation, manager Brad Moore clarifies the South African’s MotoGP future.
KTM motorsport director Pit Beirer caused a stir in Barcelona by not confirming Brad Binder’s place with the Red Bull KTM team for 2025, despite being offered the chance to quell speculation.
With the 2025 MotoGP silly season heating up and key riders like Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez yet to sign, Beirer was asked whether there was any validity to the rumors that Binder might switch from KTM’s factory team to the GASGAS satellite outfit: “Will Brad [Binder] 100 percent remain in the KTM garage next year?”
Beirer replied, “I really cannot tell you [this]. Because we see the project as, in our teams, we have four MotoGP seats. And at this stage, we cannot say who is in which position, which side. We just look generally at the four places, and try to make the best out of it.”
Last August, Binder, who has been with KTM since 2015 and part of its Red Bull-backed factory MotoGP team since his 2020 premier-class debut, extended his contract through 2026.
These comments imply that the Pierer Mobility Group could place Binder, the only MotoGP rider currently signed for 2025, either with the Red Bull KTM team or the GASGAS Tech3 team.
However, Binder’s manager Bob Moore clarified the situation, stating, “Brad has a contract with Factory Red Bull KTM.”
Binder, who achieved a career-best fourth in last year’s world championship for KTM, currently sits eighth in the standings, trailing GASGAS rookie Pedro Acosta by two places and eight points. Binder’s teammate Jack Miller is 15th, while Acosta’s teammate Augusto Fernandez is 17th.
