What Aprilia Expects From RNF Racing For The 2023 Season
Categories: MotoGP
At the MotoGP test in Valencia we’ll see four Aprilia RS-GP for the first time: The partnership between Razlan Razali and Massimo Rivola will officially begin.
Already in the first weeks of the newly formed marriage between Razlan Razali’s RNF Racing Team and Aprilia, the relationship seems to be working quite well.
Now it is announced that at the tests in Valencia all four new Aprilia RS-GP will be on the track.
“Our base will be the last version of this year’s bike, the one that will be used in Valencia,” Razali states in French magazine Moto Journal.
Both teams had announced the new partnership at this year’s Italian Grand Prix in Mugello. Aprilia’s team manager Massimo Rivola had looked for a satellite team for quite some time.

However, the support of the Italian manufacturer for RNF Racing does not come without commitments. According to Razlan Razali, the satellite team will be a pure development team.
Since Aprilia will lose its concessions for the 2023 season, the Noale based manufacturer needs the chance to collect valuable data on track.
Razali, RNF team manager states: “This is what Aprilia wants. They want us to be a real development team and collect as much data as possible to develop the bike.”
But, despite that, the Malaysian is happy with their agreement: “We are all very excited about this new challenge. We will see how competitive our new riders will be on the bike, taking Aleix Espargaró as reference. In any case, the technical feedback they give to the engineers will be important.”
