Rins Unfit! Here's Who Will Replace Him in Malaysia and Qatar

Alex Rins will miss yet another two race weekends after his leg injury from Misano continues to need recovery. Here’s who will replace the Spaniard.
Following another surgery on his injured leg, Alex Rins will miss the Malaysian and Qatar Grand Prix.
He will be replaced by Iker Lecuona who, thanks to an early-ending WorldSBK season is good to go and could potentially substitute in for Rins at the last weekend of the season in Valencia as well.
After pain from his injured leg had made a return at the Indonesian Grand Prix, an assessment with the doctors in Madrid resulted in another surgery for Alex Rins.
“Surgery went well! We keep on working,” Rins told fans via his social media channels. With his focus now entirely on recuperation, the timeline for his return to MotoGP™ action remains uncertain.
The #42 has endured an injury-ridden campaign since breaking his leg in Mugello, and despite some efforts to return in recent weeks, including competing in the entire Indonesian Grand Prix, he had to withdraw from both the Australian and Thai GPs due to persistent pain.
