Oliveira was formerly connected to Gresini Ducati as the Portuguese was the desired solution of Paolo Ciabatti.

However, Gresini team manager Nadia Padovani was not willing to pay the requested salary amount. Gresini ended up signing Alex Marquez who desperately wanted to leave Honda.

Oliveira will leave the KTM structure after six years of racing bikes by the Austrian manufacturer. In The Portuguese achieved an astonishing sixteen race wins across all classes.

In the RNF Aprilia satellite team, this year’s Indonesian GP winner will take the role of the experienced, but young rider, Aprilia looked for. Raul Fernandez will be the “promsising rookie” Aprilia wanted to have in their satellite team.

Fernandez, part of the KTM structure until the end of the season, will leave the Tech3 KTM team after having had a difficult rookie season in MotoGP on an inferior bike.

The 2020 Moto2 runner-up made it official on Monday afternoon. The difficulties in the relationship between Fernandez and KTM officials had surfaced some time ago.

Still the Spaniard is grateful for the time in probably the best structure for junior riders: “My heart will always be a portion orange because thay have been a very important part of my life.”
