Here Are Two Known Candidates For Joan Mir's Suzuki Seat For The San Marino Grand Prix

Due to Joan Mir’s injury from his highsider at the Austrian Grand Prix, Suzuki are left with a free spot for the next race in San Marino. Here are the two known candidates.
Since the Austrian GP, Livio Suppo is desperately looking for a substitute rider for the injured Joan Mir. Suzuki test rider Sylvain Guintoli is still in a recovery process from his 8h of Suzuko crash.
And, according to GPOne.com, the Suzuki Team Manager keeps an eye on Danilo Petrucci. The Italian, currently in the title fight in MotoAmerica, has been offered the Suzuki seat for the San Marino GP.
So far, there is no official announcement since Ducati is still worried about Petrucci being distracted from winning in MotoAmerica.
But even if Petrucci doesn’t get the go-ahead from Ducati, Suzuki seems to already have a plan – Axel Bassani.

The Italian is probably the hottest commodity on the Superbike transfer market. So why not give him the chance to prove himself in MotoGP?
