"He Can Fight for the title" - Who Valentino Rossi Has on his list
The 2023 season couldn’t have started better for Valentino Rossi’s VR46 Racing team. The team boss comments on the team’s performance.
After the season’s first three races, the VR46 Racing Team can already be proud of the results they achieved.
The team of MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi leads the Teams’ Championship and was able to take the first MotoGP race victory in the team’s history in Argentina.
For the Italians, however, this success does not come about by chance. After several years in the smaller classes, they took the step up into the premier class in 2022.
With a clear goal in mind and working hard, the team was able to continuously improve its performance. One year later, they are fighting for the Teams’ Championship title.
Team boss Valentino Rossi believes in the continuity of the current form. In an interview with Sportweek, the Italian explains why the team’s current success is not just a snapshot.
“The secret is that our team is made up of our people, of friends who have worked with us in the past.”

With Marco Bezzecchi, VR46 has the present world championship leader on its site. The Italian even outstrips World Champion Francesco Bagnaia on the updated Ducati GP23.
Regarding a potential rivalry between the two VR46 Academy riders, should both of them fight for the title in 2023, team boss Valentino Rossi remains calm.
“There is a big rivalry between Marco and Pecco now, but a proper and fair rivalry. They train together at the ranch, which helps them to improve.”
“Of course, it’s not easy to manage everything, especially when they should be fighting for the World Championship.”
“Vale” believes Bezzecchi’s World Championship lead won’t remain a snapshot. He has Bezzecchi on his list: “If you look at how the team works and how the bike works, Bez can fight for the world championship.”
